“I love the Spotlight tours because we aren't unpacking and packing every day.”
-Collette Traveller Cheryl C.

On Spotlight on Boston, take 5 days to dive into the birthplace of the American Revolution. Alongside an expert Tour Manager, you’ll embark on a panoramic tour to familiarize yourself with the capital city, and take trips to Harvard University, the North End, and the historic cities of Lexington and Concord. Sprinkled between these outings is free time to explore your own way. Toward the end of your tour, you can choose between activities in Boston through Collette’s Choice on Tour program.

Some longer destination Spotlights tours take you into a region versus a city and require a little more time. As an example, Spotlight on the French Riviera is 9 days. Your centrally-located hotel will be located in Nice, but you’ll spend time exploring the luxurious Côte d’Azur. On this 9-day tour, 4 days have built in free time, but you still have an itinerary rich with inclusions. See the home of the iconic Cannes Film Festival. Smell the roses at the stunning Nice Flower Market (and when you learn the secrets of perfume making at a workshop). Sit down for lunch in the tearoom of Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild. Explore Monaco and see its iconic sites, such as the Cathedral and the Prince's Palace. Around these things, explore how you choose, embark in an optional tour, or relax in this veritable playground for the elite.

See What the Locals See + the Must-Sees

One simply cannot visit Paris without taking a trip to the Eiffel Tower. You can’t go to New York City without catching a glimpse of the Statue of Liberty. There are reasons that iconic sites like these have made it onto people’s bucket lists, and they truly are must-sees. When you take a Spotlights tour, you’ll have an expert Tour Manager leading you to those places. But these experts will also take you deeper.

In Paris, your Tour Manager will show you how to use Le Metro. You’ll take that public transportation together so that later, you can confidently use it on your own during some free time. Get off the subway at another must-see: The Louvre. The day before, however, you’ll dive into local culture when you explore the hip and historic district of Le Marais. A favourite of Parisians since time immemorial, Le Marais counts the great writers Victor Hugo and Honoré de Balzac among its famous citizens. And even if walking where they found inspiration was not on your to-do list, it may just be one of the most memorable parts of your trip.

In New York, you’ll experience the poignant 9/11 Museum and 9/11 Memorial. You’ll catch a couple of Broadway shows. You’ll ferry to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. But you’ll also experience an underrated staple of New York culture: an authentic NYC deli breakfast. Your free time will leave you the choice to experience the city the way you wish. Maybe you’ll shop in some of the world’s most legendary department stores, like Macy’s, Bloomingdale’s, and Saks Fifth Avenue. Or maybe your Tour Manager can offer some suggestions on somewhere new to go that you never would have found on your own.
